• Why a Trump Endorsement Helps and Hurts in New York

A lot of people are asking what a Trump endorsement really does in a New York governor’s race—especially for Bruce Blakeman against Kathy Hochul.

    Here’s the honest breakdown—no spin.

    Where it helps
    • It locks in the Republican base quickly.
    • It brings media attention and fundraising energy.
    • It gives clarity—voters know exactly where a candidate stands.

    Where it hurts
    • New York is a Democratic-leaning state with millions of independents.
    • Donald Trump remains unpopular statewide.
    • The endorsement turns the race into a binary fight, not a performance review.
    • Swing voters—especially suburban and independent voters—tend to tune out or turn away.

    What it really does
A Trump endorsement raises the floor but lowers the ceiling.
It helps win a party lane—but makes it harder to win the state.

    That’s not a judgment. It’s math.

And this is why so many New Yorkers feel stuck choosing between options that don’t actually reflect their lives, their stress, or their priorities. The system keeps forcing national labels onto local problems.

BETTR exists because people are tired of that.
Tired of being told who they’re supposed to vote against instead of who’s actually going to work for them.

This isn’t about loyalty to personalities.
It’s about outcomes for real people.

If you’ve ever felt politically homeless, you’re not alone—and you’re exactly who BETTR was built for.

  • Tired of Fare Hikes and Government Waste? New York Deserves Better.

Every year, New Yorkers pay more for transit while getting less in return. Another MTA fare hike is coming — and still, we see crews standing around, projects years behind schedule, and billions lost to mismanagement.

It’s not just the MTA — it’s government at every level. From entry‑level workers to the Governor’s office, no one should be above accountability — including me.

That’s why we’re launching the Watchdog New York Whistleblower Program:
    • See waste or abuse? Document it.
    • Photos, videos, location, and time — the more detail, the better.
    • Help us build an evidence-backed case for reform that ends corruption and restores trust.

Our plan to fix the MTA goes further — distance-based fares, full audits, and real rider representation so short trips cost less, waste is eliminated, and the system finally works for New Yorkers, not insiders.

  • Why Elise Stefanik Can’t Win New York in 2026 — And Why JSA2026 Is the Alternative Conservatives Deserve

By Jason S. Arnold, Candidate for Governor of New York (JSA2026)
    (516) 586-0660 | jsa2026.com | BETTR.community

Elise Stefanik is a rising star in national Republican politics — but when it comes to winning the 2026 governor’s race in New York, she’s not the candidate who can get it done. I say this with respect for everything she’s accomplished in Congress. But New York is not Washington, and voters here need a candidate who understands this state from the ground up — not from the top down.

That’s why I’m running. My name is Jason S. Arnold, founder of BETTR, host of TurnNYRed.us, and candidate for Governor of New York in 2026 under the JSA2026 campaign.

The Math Doesn’t Add Up for Elise Stefanik

Stefanik’s supporters say she can flip New York red. The numbers disagree:
    • New York hasn’t elected a Republican governor since George Pataki in 2002.
    • Elise Stefanik’s district (NY-21) represents under 2% of the state’s population.
    • Her statewide favorability among independents is below 30% according to recent Siena and Quinnipiac polling.
    • Downstate counties (NYC, Long Island, Westchester) account for 70%+ of the total vote — areas where she has no organizational base.

Even in the red wave year of 2022, Republicans lost by nearly 350,000 votes statewide, despite strong turnout. We cannot run the same kind of candidate and expect different results.

The Disconnect: Harvard Polishing vs. New York Grit

Elise Stefanik went to Harvard, launched her career in the Bush White House, and has been in politics since her 20s. Again, no shame in that. But let’s be honest:

You don’t go to Harvard today to become wise — you go to become managed.

Stefanik talks about fighting for working-class New Yorkers, but she’s never lived in their neighborhoods. She’s never waited on line at the rent office. She’s never had to navigate broken public housing, underfunded schools, or family court hell.

Where I’ve Lived — The Real New York

Since arriving in New York in 2002, I’ve lived in:
    • Manhattan: Chelsea, Times Square, Lower East Side, Spanish Harlem, Washington Heights
    • The Bronx: Hoe Avenue
    • Brooklyn: Bushwick, Sunset Park, Brooklyn Heights
    • Queens: Bellerose
    • Long Island: Franklin Square and Bethpage
    • Upstate: Rochester (Ninth Ward, Ridgeway, Garfield & Chilay)

That’s over 20 years across every region of New York — living, working, surviving, and building. Not just polling and posting.

“When you walk into a room and someone’s wearing too much perfume, you smell it — even if nobody else does.
That’s me in New York. I see the things others have gone nose-blind to.”

Stefanik’s Record: Talking Points vs. Results

Stefanik often campaigns as a fiscal conservative and civil libertarian, but her record doesn’t always match:
Voted for expanded FISA surveillance powers
Supported $100B+ in Ukraine aid while New York cities struggle
Backed massive COVID spending with no accountability
Never introduced a bill to fix NY schools
No action on NY property tax relief
No real plan to protect New Yorkers from federal mandates (CBDCs, digital IDs, lockdowns)

What I Stand For – The JSA2026 Platform

I’m not backed by PACs. I’m backed by the people. My campaign policies include:
    • SEZ & LEZ education reform zones – putting parents back in charge
    • End property taxes on fully paid-off homes
    • New York Liberty & Survival Act – banning CBDCs, protecting food and water access, restoring local economic freedom
    • Universal emergency care access – no one denied help, no Medicaid trap
    • Family court reform – end corruption, restore balance
    • State anti-censorship shield law – protect speech in New York even if D.C. won’t

    These aren’t slogans — they’re legislative blueprints.

2026 Is Too Important for a Safe Bet

Elise Stefanik will be painted as a D.C. career politician no matter how much red she wears on stage. We’ve seen this movie before — and it ends in a blowout loss.

    JSA2026 offers something else:
    • Raw truth
    • Real-world experience
    • A fighter’s heart
    • A builder’s vision

We can’t run someone who’s polling well inside party circles but collapsing statewide. We need a candidate who grew through the struggle — not someone who read about it in talking points.

    Final Word

I love New York. I’ve lived it. I’ve nearly died in it. And I’ve come back to fight for it.

“I’m not a good candidate — I’m the right one.”

  • ‘Abolished’: Over 1,300 State Department Employees Laid Off Under Trump Plan

In a bold restructuring move, the Trump administration slashed over 1,300 jobs from the State Department — part of a broader effort to cut bureaucratic bloat and refocus U.S. foreign policy priorities.

Supporters say it was about ending endless wars and draining the D.C. swamp. Critics claim it undermined diplomatic capacity. The truth? America had long been over-leveraged on foreign entanglements while ignoring urgent issues at home.

A leaner, more accountable State Department could help put America’s interests first—if followed through with transparency and reform.

'Abolished': State Department is laying off over 1,300 employees under Trump administration plan
The U.S. State Department is firing more than 1,300 employees on Friday in line with a dramatic reorganization plan from the Trump administration that critics say will damage America's global leadership and efforts to counter threats abroad. The department has begun sending layoff notices to 1,107 civil servants and 246 foreign service officers with assignments in the United States, according to a senior department official who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss personnel matters. Staff began to receive notices shortly after 10 a.m. Friday saying their positions were being “abolished” and that they would be losing access to the department's headquarters in Washington as well as their email and share drives by 5 p.m., according to a copy of one of the notices obtained by The Associated Press.

  • PRESS RELEASE: Jason S. Arnold Backs Strikes on Iranian Nuclear Sites
    Posted to BETTR by JSA2026

I’m not walking this one back.

The U.S. strike on three Iranian nuclear sites was the right move—a bold act of military precision that sent a message to the world:
Iran will not get a nuclear weapon. Not on our watch.

We didn’t drop a nuke. We dropped the hammer.

Let’s be real—Iran’s nuclear program isn’t about deterrence. It’s about domination.
And since 1979, they’ve had their fingerprints on more terror attacks than any other regime on Earth.

4,500+ U.S. & allied attacks linked to Iran
    $700 million annually to Hezbollah
Uranium enrichment now at 60% (just shy of weapons-grade)
$1.7 billion in pallets of cash under Obama… and for what?

All that money bought them time—not peace.
And my only question is: why didn’t Obama send bunker busters instead?

I support peace—but peace doesn’t come from weakness.
It comes from drawing a red line and meaning it.

This strike didn’t start a war.
    It may have prevented one.

    No nukes. No exceptions.
And if we’re the only nation on Earth willing to do what needs to be done without going nuclear—then God help us, we better lead.

  • TWISTED TURN: Man Wrongly Deported to El Salvador Now Facing U.S. Human Smuggling Charges

Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was mistakenly deported to El Salvador in 2023, has now been brought back to the U.S.—not to correct the error, but to face human smuggling charges.

According to DHS, Garcia is accused of helping coordinate illegal border crossings and profiting off trafficking vulnerable migrants across Central America.

    What We Know:
Garcia was wrongly deported after a paperwork mishap, prompting outrage from immigrant rights groups.

He was quietly re-apprehended and extradited back to the U.S. under sealed indictment orders.

  • ANNOUNCING: The NY-ETA Act – A New Day for New York

Under my administration, every dollar in this state will WORK—or it’s gone.

Introducing the New York Efficiency, Transparency, and Accountability Act (NY-ETA Act) — a sweeping reform to eliminate waste, shut down money-losing programs, and redeploy our public workforce to roles that actually help New Yorkers.

From the bloated film tax credit and cigarette smuggling task forces to broken bottle deposit redemptions and MTA payroll burdens—if it costs more than it delivers, it’s either fixed or finished.

    We’re auditing everything.
Budgets must be justified from zero.
Dead weight gets cut—or reassigned to where they can actually serve the people.

This isn’t about smaller government. It’s about BETTR government.

  • HOUSE PASSES “BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL” — MAJOR WIN FOR TRUMP & JOHNSON

In a razor-thin 215–214 vote, House Republicans just pushed through the One Big Beautiful Bill, delivering President Trump’s first major legislative win of the 2025 cycle.

    What’s in it?

Tax Cuts Extended: Deductions now include tips, overtime, car loans. SALT cap raised to $40K for most Americans.

Welfare Reform: Medicaid & SNAP recipients will face stricter work requirements by 2026.

🛰 Defense & Border Boost: $150B in defense spending and $70B for border security tech & manpower.

Cuts to Green Agenda: Clean energy tax credits rolled back from the Biden-era Inflation Reduction Act.

    Why it matters:
The MAGA wing had to fight hard. Freedom Caucus members forced key changes—like earlier work mandates and cuts to green subsidies—to back the bill. Democrats? Every single one voted no.

Opposition says: It helps the rich and harms the poor.
Supporters say: It helps workers and punishes freeloaders.

The bill now heads to the Senate, where budget hawks and moderates could clash over cost: the CBO says it’ll add $3.3 trillion to the debt over a decade.
