    Happy New Year, New York

As the clock turns, we pause—between what was and what can be.
Another year of grit, resilience, and quiet strength. Another year where New Yorkers showed up for each other, even when it wasn’t easy.

Tonight isn’t just about fireworks or countdowns. It’s about renewal. About choosing hope over fear, honesty over noise, and community over division. It’s about remembering that this state has always moved forward because ordinary people refused to give up on one another.

Wherever you are—city lights, small towns, kitchens filled with laughter, or places of reflection—may the new year bring peace to your home, purpose to your days, and momentum to the work ahead.

Here’s to building something BETTR together in 2026.
With courage. With compassion. With each other.

    Merry Christmas, New York

From Long Island to the North Country, from our cities to our small towns, I want to wish every New Yorker a peaceful and joyful Christmas.

This season is about family, reflection, generosity, and hope. It’s about checking on one another, remembering those who are struggling, and appreciating the people who keep this state moving every single day—often without recognition.

No matter your background, party, or beliefs, Christmas reminds us that kindness still matters, community still matters, and New York is stronger when we look out for each other.

May your home be warm, your table be full, and your heart be steady as we head into a new year with renewed purpose and resolve.

God bless you, and God bless New York.

  • A Thanksgiving Message to New York

From Jason S. Arnold — Candidate for Governor of New York State
“I’m not a good candidate. I’m the right one.”

Today isn’t just about a meal — it’s about remembrance.
Remembrance of how far we’ve come, what we’ve survived, and who we still carry with us in spirit.

Thanksgiving is a moment where families gather, communities pause, and we recognize the quiet truth that gets drowned out the rest of the year:

We are stronger when we stand together, and weaker when politics divides us.

This year, let us give thanks for:
    • The families who hold each other up during hard times
    • The workers who keep New York moving while others rest
    • The service members and first responders who never get holidays off
    • The neighbors who give more than they take
    • And every New Yorker who still believes we can build something better than what the establishment has given us

We lift up those we’ve lost, honor those still fighting their battles, and extend a hand to anyone spending today alone.
Nobody should be forgotten in a state as rich as ours.

New York deserves leadership that remembers the people — not the donors.
The 99 — not the one.

Today, let your home be filled with peace, gratitude, and the hope that tomorrow can be different.

    From my family to yours:
    Happy Thanksgiving, New York.
Stay safe, stay grateful, and stay united.

  • Texas Flooding Disaster: At Least 104 Dead, Rescue Efforts Ongoing

Devastating flooding in Texas has claimed the lives of at least 104 people, with search and rescue teams continuing to comb through submerged areas in hopes of finding survivors. Entire communities remain underwater, and the full scale of destruction is still unfolding.

Authorities report that hundreds are missing, and infrastructure failures are complicating relief efforts. This is one of the deadliest flood events in modern Texas history.

Our thoughts are with every family affected. But this is more than a weather event—it’s a national infrastructure failure, and the consequences are deadly.

When will we stop reacting late and start preparing early?

    Failed zoning
    Aging dams and drainage
    Disconnected disaster response
    Urban sprawl without rural readiness

America must treat infrastructure like life support—not a political talking point.

  • JSA2026 NYC Mayoral Endorsement: Backing Curtis Sliwa — With Conditions

By Jason S. Arnold, Candidate for Governor of New York (2026)
    Published: June 25, 2025

    βΈ»

As a candidate for Governor of New York, I never intended to step into the NYC 2025 mayoral race. But given the direction this race is heading — and what’s truly at stake — I have no choice but to speak now, clearly and decisively.

I’m endorsing Curtis Sliwa for Mayor of New York City. It’s not about party loyalty — it’s about leadership, accountability, and putting the city’s safety and sanity above personal political gain.

Curtis has been a fighter for decades. He understands crime prevention, urban decay, and community rebuilding in a way few others do. He’s not beholden to lobbyists, corporations, or political dynasties. He shows up — in the streets, in the news, and in the neighborhoods that others ignore.

But if Curtis doesn’t win, I need to be honest with you: I’ll take Andrew Cuomo over Zohran Mamdani every time.

Why? Because Zohran Mamdani just recently became a U.S. citizen. I respect immigration. I respect the right to run. But I do not believe someone who only recently earned the rights of citizenship should immediately be given the reins of America’s largest city.

This isn’t anti-immigrant — it’s pro-reality. The Mayor of New York isn’t just a manager. It’s a symbol of American resilience, grit, and continuity. That requires deep roots — not recent paperwork.

    So here’s where I stand:
    Curtis Sliwa is my endorsement.
If he falls short, I’d rather work with Cuomo than see an untested, ideologically extreme newcomer in charge.
Zohran Mamdani may be qualified on paper, but New York City needs more than a résumé — it needs experience, loyalty, and wisdom.

New Yorkers are about to make a decision that impacts the whole country. And as someone who hopes to lead this state starting in 2026, I want you to know where I stand before the general election begins.

    This isn’t about politics.
    It’s about principle.

  • Trump and Putin Talk Peace — But Kremlin Rejects Ceasefire Request
On May 19, 2025, former President Donald Trump held a two-hour phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin in an effort to negotiate an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine. While Trump called the conversation “excellent” and proposed Vatican-hosted peace talks, the Kremlin flatly refused to pause its military operations.

Putin insisted that Ukraine’s NATO ambitions and continued Western military support must be addressed before any ceasefire is possible. This hardline stance dampened hopes of progress — even as Ukraine expressed openness to unconditional peace.

Meanwhile, Trump signaled that if negotiations stall, the U.S. may withdraw from its mediator role — a move that has sparked concern among European allies and Kyiv alike.

    Summary:
    – Trump proposes peace via Vatican-hosted talks
    – Putin says “not yet” on ceasefire
    – Kremlin demands include NATO withdrawal and territorial concessions
    – Ukraine says Russia is stalling to buy time
    – U.S. threatens to step back from mediation if progress stalls

  • What do you get when you mix 6 political podcast hosts and a NYS Governor hopeful?

    Crickets.

Not a single question about the campaign. Not even when I tried to steer the convo to real local issues.

I showed up, cigars were lit, vibes were... polite. But under the surface? Felt like I crashed a high school reunion I never went to.

One even slipped in a “someone’s blowing hot air” jab. Maybe he meant the cigars. Maybe not. Either way, message received.

I’ll keep showing up. I’ll keep speaking up. Because NY deserves better than influencers pretending not to see what’s right in front of them.

With the passing of Pope Francis on April 21, 2025, the Catholic Church stands at a pivotal crossroads. The upcoming conclave, set to begin between May 6 and May 11, will see 135 cardinal electors convene to choose the next pontiff—a decision that will shape the Church's direction for decades to come.

    Leading Papal Contenders
    1. Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle (Philippines)
Often referred to as the "Asian Francis," Tagle is known for his pastoral approach and emphasis on social justice. His potential election would mark the first Asian pope, reflecting the Church's growth in Asia.

    2. Cardinal Pietro Parolin (Italy)
As the Vatican's Secretary of State since 2013, Parolin is a seasoned diplomat with extensive experience in Church governance. He is viewed as a moderate, capable of bridging divides within the Church.
    Reuters

    3. Cardinal Matteo Zuppi (Italy)
The Archbishop of Bologna and President of the Italian Episcopal Conference, Zuppi is recognized for his work in peace mediation and social issues. He embodies a progressive vision aligned with Francis's legacy.

    4. Cardinal Péter ErdΕ‘ (Hungary)
A prominent conservative voice, ErdΕ‘ is the Archbishop of Esztergom-Budapest. His election would signal a shift towards traditionalism within the Church.

    5. Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa (Italy)
Serving as the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Pizzaballa has been noted for his efforts in interfaith dialogue and his leadership in the Holy Land. His election could emphasize the Church's commitment to peace in the Middle East.

    JSA2026 Campaign Perspective
“The conclave's decision will not only influence the spiritual direction of over a billion Catholics but also impact global discussions on morality, justice, and human dignity.
